Maserati lemon law attorney in California
A Ghibli, Levante, Quattroporte or GranTurismo that keeps going back to the dealer for the same problem may be a lemon. When a Maserati under warranty has a defect that substantially impairs its use, value or safety, California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act requires the manufacturer to fix it within a reasonable number of attempts, or replace the vehicle or refund it.

The rules
When a Maserati problem becomes a lemon
California law presumes the manufacturer has had a fair chance to fix your vehicle if any of these happen. The problem has to first be reported for warranty repair within 18 months of delivery or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first. These are general rules, not a prediction about any one vehicle. Our FAQ has the legal details.
A
Two or more attempts (safety)
For a defect that could cause death or serious injury, such as a transmission, brake or stalling fault.
B
Four or more attempts
For the same non-safety warranty problem.
C
30 days out of service
Cumulative, for warranty repair.
