Lemon Law · Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce lemon law attorney in California

A Phantom, Ghost, Wraith, Dawn or Cullinan that keeps going back to the dealer for the same problem may be a lemon. When a Rolls-Royce under warranty has a defect that substantially impairs its use, value or safety, California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act requires the manufacturer to fix it within a reasonable number of attempts, or replace the vehicle or refund it.

Common problems

Rolls-Royce problems that can qualify

These are the kinds of problems Rolls-Royce owners bring to us. Whether yours qualifies depends on your repair history, not the problem's name.

Electrical system

Faulty dashboard displays, warning lights and controls; power seats, windows and lighting that stop working.

Transmission

Jerky shifting, hesitation, or a gearbox that fails.

Air suspension

Leaks, compressor failures, or uneven ride height.

Infotainment and software

Touchscreens that freeze, navigation errors and Bluetooth faults.

Engine

Stalling, overheating, oil consumption, or turbocharger faults.

Air conditioning and convertible top

Weak cooling, an AC system that stops working, or a convertible top that won't operate.

The rules

When a Rolls-Royce problem becomes a lemon

California law presumes the manufacturer has had a fair chance to fix your vehicle if any of these happen. The problem has to first be reported for warranty repair within 18 months of delivery or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first. These are general rules, not a prediction about any one vehicle. Our FAQ has the legal details.

A

Two or more attempts (safety)

For a defect that could cause death or serious injury, such as a transmission, suspension or stalling fault.

B

Four or more attempts

For the same non-safety warranty problem.

C

30 days out of service

Cumulative, for warranty repair.
